Business Continuity
As part of our ISO 27001 (Information Security) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management) standards, we have developed a Business Continuity Management (BCM) strategy which covers the following key areas:
- Business impact analysis: to understand the knock-on effect of various parts of the supply chain being broken
- Identification of critical activities: to ensure we can keep these running in event of a disaster
- BCM strategy and planning: to establish robust procedures and protocol that staff can adhere to in the event of a disaster.
- Simulate and test: to ensure staff are familiar with the plans and to allow improvements where necessary
FileBase have a regularly reviewed Disaster Recovery Strategy should any systems fail. We take a three-layered approach to this:
Primary measures
Data is backed up on a daily basis to a variety of different media. This is then removed from site and held in a secure location.
FileBase operate a server replication process giving us back up should we have a hardware failure.
Secondary measures
On-site back-up generators and UPS devices are in place to ensure that in the case of area-wide power failure, FileBase can continue to run its service and access your data.
Tertiary measures
Should we have a serious premises issue we also have contingency for full office relocation and support from a variety of third party IT support companies in our immediate vicinity.
Broadband redundancy
FileBase recently moved to multiple broadband lines. Should any supplier line be interrupted we can switch to an alternative to prevent loss of service.
