£1 million investment

We’ve invested £1million in our north-eastern site, which includes a brand-new records centre which has doubled storage capacity.

Filebase has seen the arrival of a purpose-built records centre as part of a £1million investment in the north-eastern site. The contract for this new facility was awarded to Mowlem Construction (now part of the Carillion group), an international construction player. This brand-new centre provides Filebase with more than half a million cubic feet of additional storage space, effectively doubling existing capacity. There is also state-of-the art internal and external CCTV linked to a digital recording system, sophisticated intruder and fire alarm systems, and automatic lighting which clearly demonstrates our commitment to the environment and energy-saving procedures. We also have powerful dehumidification equipment to maximise storage life span, which is particularly useful for clients who need to store records for more than 25 years.
