How time flies!

In April we will have been in the new site at Washington for one whole year! How time flies!

We would welcome a visit to our state of the art facility from our existing clients and any potential new ones!

Our modern ultra-secure premises are conveniently based just 40 miles east of the geographical centre of Britain, with excellent communication links to major arterial routes, Newcastle International Airport and East Coast Rail Links to London & Edinburgh, allowing for the ease of daily deliveries to our clients and convenience for prospective clients wishing to inspect our premises prior to storing with us.

We have a number of security systems and standards in place and have been subjected to some stringent audits from our existing client base because of the relocation, no surprises that we passed them all! For more information on security standards click here:

Premises & Personnel Security

We now have a client viewing room with Wi-Fi, refreshments and secure access if you would like to view any of your records. We have an on-site secure shredding area, [Link to a Sustainable Shredding? – see attached document in email] a professional archiving suite and a full scanning suite where we offer a wide range of services including back scanning of your records or the greener; scan your records on demand option.

The other exciting news is that we will have our new Tape Vault ready for the safe storage of all your back up tape needs and stored in the latest environmentally controlled conditions, we will also be selling Disaster Recovery and business continuity solutions.

ISO success for FileBase

After many months of hard work, we have been awarded our certificates for ISO 27001 (Information Security), 9001 (QMS) and 14001 (Environmental) – big thank you to the team and everyone who has been involved.

As covered in the Journal: DOCUMENT management company Filebase is hoping to create 12 more jobs in the next three years.
The Northumberland firm wants to make the additions to meet demand for its scanning and shredding services, and is also considering an expansion of its current Morpeth premises or a move to a new site. Read more here http://tiny.cc/9q03z

FileBase hosted a relaunch party last month at the Baltic Flour Mill in Newcastle to thank clients for their support and loyalty over the past year as well as present the vision for the coming year including a focus on new services and new IT developments. Michael Mitten also gave an inspirational talk about his expedition to the North Pole which he brilliantly ties back to business and leadership.

Durham Business School use FileBase to go Digital

Data Protection Act – bigger penalties

Its more important than ever before to manage your information properly…’This week sees the introduction of new penalties for breaches of the Data Protection Act. Regulated and enforced by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the maximum fine for an organisation found to be in breach of the act rises from just £5000 to a hefty £500 000.’
