Foundations
Back in the 80s Mr T.N.H Sanderson, the FileBase founder, decided to branch away from dairy farming. Pressure from supermarkets meant that this method of farming was becoming increasingly unsustainable.
With over 50,000 sq ft of warehousing at his disposal and entrprenurial blood in his veins, he ventured over to the USA to learn more about the booming Information Management industry. After touring several of the worlds leading facilities, he set about renovating his warehousing with de-humidifiers and bespoke racking and went in search of business with a distinct approach that would set FileBase apart from its competitors; management of information and records rather than pure storage.

Expansion
Our first client was a global engineering company with some extremely sensitive records that they insisted were stored 20+ miles outside of a major conurbation. From here it all began and FileBase now boasts over 150 clients of varying sizes from a multitude of different industries.
We have an onsite shredding and destruction plant, a scanning bureau, archivists offices and a network of dedicated warehouses.

A new era
The company retains its family ethos and Mr Sanderson’s eldest son Mark takes up the reins of Client Services Director with the ambition to build and expand the business. His other son David who is training as a barrister also holds the role of a Director.
2010 sees the arrival of a new decade and a number of new additions to the FileBase team and marks the beginning of a new era for the company.
